A man has been charged with 25 offences as part of an investigation into incidents including thefts from motor vehicles and shoplifting across Fareham & Lee-on-the-Solent.
The incidents are alleged to have occurred throughout both areas between 12 July and 28 August this year.
Following enquiries, 32-year-old Richard Featherstone, of Gosport Road in Fareham, has been charged with the following:
• 6 counts of attempted theft from motor vehicles between 12 and 13 August in Lee-on-the-Solent
• 7 counts of attempted theft from motor vehicles between 28 July and 11 August in Fareham
• 2 counts of theft from motor vehicles on 13 August in Lee-on-the-Solent
• 4 counts of theft from motor vehicles between 27 July and 9 August in Fareham
• 5 counts of theft from a shop between 12 July and 28 August from ASDA in Speedfields Park, Fareham
• 1 count of attempted burglary of an address in Drift Road, Fareham, on 28 July
Featherstone was remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court today (27 September).
