Young cyclist injured following fail to stop collision in Gosport

Police are appealing for witnesses after a young cyclist was involved in a fail to stop collision in Gosport. The 11-year-old girl was cycling across Heritage Way, at the junction with Elson Road, at 8am on Wednesday (May 11) when she was involved in a collision with a black vehicle. As a result of the incident the girl fell off her bike. The vehicle, which is described as medium-sized, failed to stop at the scene and continued north along Heritage Way towards the A32 Fareham Road.
The girl sustained minor injuries and was treated at Gosport War memorial walk-in centre.

Officers investigating the incident are appealing for anyone who may have witnesses the collision or who knows the identity of the driver to come forward.
